Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a full-time Shift Lead Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on leading the veterinary team, recruiting clients, and ensuring efficient, compassionate care for pets and clients in a busy hospital setting.

The position offers opportunities to mentor paraprofessional staff, oversee day-to-day operations, and uphold Banfield standards while complying with state requirements.

Qualifications

• Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT).
• Preferred Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary technology program.

Responsibilities

• Recruit new clients by promoting hospital services, wellness plans, and preventive care.
• Manage flow of clients and pets to maximize productivity of the veterinary team.
• Provide professional, efficient service, educate clients on pet health, and prepare procedures as directed by veterinarians.
• Assist with veterinary technician appointments under supervision and in compliance with state law.
• Document client and pet information accurately and discharge with clear instructions and invoices.
• Assist with prescriptions, retail sales, and scheduling.
• Support finances with opening/closing procedures and accurate records.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
