Job summary

Shake Shack is seeking a Shift Lead in New York to oversee restaurant operations, ensuring safety, cleanliness, quality and speed on each shift. You will direct a team of hourly members, support purchasing and inventory tasks, and contribute to interviews and employee relations.

Ideal candidates bring at least 1 year of leadership experience in a restaurant setting, possess Food Safety Certification, and demonstrate strong problem solving and communication skills to uphold our hospitality

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of restaurant leadership experience supervising a team.
• Food Safety Certification according to local jurisdiction.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Manage the flow of service and direct the work of team members on a shift to ensure the highest levels of safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed.
• Help build and lead high performing team of hourly Team Members.
• May assist with operational support functions (i.e. Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory, etc.).
• Participates in applicant interviews and assists with employee relations.
