Job summary

Murphy Oil USA, Inc is hiring a part-time Shift Lead to deliver prompt, courteous customer service and assist the Store Manager in daily operations at our Alabama location.

The role requires basic cash handling, stocking, and ensuring a clean, safe store. Candidates should have at least some cashier experience, a valid driver's license, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds; opportunities for advancement exist. The position may lead to promotion to Assistant Manager within six months.

Qualifications

• Age requirements vary by state; in Alabama must be 21+.
• High school diploma or GED or at least 6 months related experience.
• Minimum 3 months of cashier experience.
• Requires valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Able to bend, stand, reach for extended periods; lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, courteous customer experience.
• Respond to and resolve customer requests and concerns.
• Assist customers with purchases and fuel transactions.
• Operate cash register.
• Ensure fuel and merchandise are available for customers.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Support the Store Manager in all store operations.
• Help lead the team to exceed store performance goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• In the absence of management, provide backup duties including daily/monthly paperwork, problem resolution, video review, plan-o-gram compliance, inventory ordering, product counts and training new employees.
