Job summary

LivWell Market is hiring a Shift Lead for our Somersworth Greek-inspired kitchen and market. You will run daily operations, lead a small team, and represent LivWell with guests and staff.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in food service and at least 1 year in supervision, with a ServSafe certification preferred. Toast POS experience is a strong plus, and flexibility for weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in food service, retail, or hospitality.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Be on time and own the daily opening routine.
• Open the store and set the tone for every shift.
• Cross-train as backup to the Operations Lead – Closer for continuity.
• Lead daily pre-shift meetings and walkthroughs.
• Lead a shift team of 3–4 across all zones.
• Model the LivWell standard for food quality and guest experience.
• Handle Toast POS, cash, and daily shift reporting.
• Receive deliveries and communicate inventory needs.
• Mentor and lead cooks, kitchen staff to align team with LivWell’s culture.

LivWell Market is hiring several creative and passionate individuals for our market location at 8 Somersworth Plaza, Somersworth NH to support our Greek-inspired food service beginnings. Are you or someone you know interested in working for a small specialty food market starting at the ground level? We are looking for individuals who don’t shy from a challenge, who intentionally explore ways to be creative, and who find enjoyment in brightening the day for others. You will be a key contributor to our growth and evolution as we build along with the Somersworth Downtown.

Where We're Headed

LivWell Market will first open as a fast casual Greek kitchen with a small grocery corner. That is our humble beginning - our starting point and our first impression to the community. As we grow, a beautiful bar comes to life with coffee, tea, fresh juices, and other fast, interactive service. Our grocery expands into real, thoughtful, delicious prepared meals people can grab and bring home or eat on the go. Our secondary kitchen opens its doors to partnerships and collaborations, allowing LivWell Market to become a force multiplier. Eventually, our dining room transforms into both a full service Greek fine dining experience and training grounds for people aspiring to teach or learn about food. The same space, the same heart, deepening into something more. None of this happens by accident - it happens because people who believe in real food, real personal connection, and real hospitality build it, one shift, one partnership, one vision at a time.As Shift Lead, you’ll be one of the people who sets the tone that gets us there - every pre-shift meeting is a rep for the culture we’re building toward Phase 2 and beyond.
