Job summary

Miss J Cafe in Missouri is hiring a Shift Manager to oversee daily operations during assigned shifts. You will lead a team of baristas and service staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences and ensure cafe standards are met.

You will open or close the cafe, manage inventory and cash handling, and train new staff while maintaining health and safety compliance. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cafe/restaurant or hospitality settings; supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Food Safety certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support cafe staff during assigned shifts.
• Open or close the cafe following standard procedures.
• Ensure excellent customer service and promptly resolve guest issues.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock management.
• Handle cash, POS transactions, and daily reconciliations.
