Job summary

Atkore seeks a Mill Lead Operator to base in Hobart, IN, reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor. The role oversees mill setup, operation, and performance to meet high quality and efficiency standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a safety-first mindset and leadership aligned with company values.
• Minimum 3 years experience in tube mill production at a high level.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively operate the mill and all supporting stations from entry to bundling table.
• Lead and participate in mill changeovers, setup, and operation.
• Safely and effectively operate and maintain process in cleaning and coatings.
• Communicate with and direct mill crew to achieve target goals, as well as support departments.
• Troubleshoot equipment, product quality, and bottleneck issues.
• Follow explicit customer specifications and ensure execution of such in the end product.
