Preform Solutions, Inc. in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Shift Lead to supervise Material Handling and ensure smooth operation of production lines. The role supports start-ups and shut-downs, makes machine adjustments to improve product quality, and serves as the first point of contact for Material Handlers.

You will work to maintain high production standards, mentor a fast-paced team, and ensure a safe, efficient working environment with regular quality audits and shift-based responsibilities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead with Material Handlers on the shift to meet production needs.
• Direct Material Handlers to prioritize shift tasks.
• Move finished product to inventory, build boxes, monitor material levels, and perform quality checks.
• Ensure quality audits are conducted twice per shift.
• Monitor lines for quality issues and address them promptly.
• Operate forklifts and load materials to machines as needed.

Join Preform Solutions, Inc., a leading manufacturer of plastic products for the packaging industry. With over two decades of industry experience, we are committed to quality and innovation. We are seeking a dedicated individual to work alongside and supervise Material Handling and ensure smooth operation of our production lines in Sioux Falls, SD. The Shift Lead will assist with machine processing including all start-ups and shut-downs during the shift, and making adjustments to machines to improve product quality. The Shift Lead is the first point of contact for the Material Handlers. This role is integral to maintaining our high standards of production and offers the opportunity to be part of a team that values excellence.

Responsibilities

• The Shift Lead will work alongside the Material Handlers on the shift to ensure production needs are met
• Provide direction to Material Handlers to ensure tasks during the shift are prioritized
• Work in Material Handling, completingduties such as scanning and moving completed product into inventory, building boxes, monitoring material levels, and completing quality checks
• Ensure quality audits are being completed twice during each shift
• Monitor production lines for quality issues and address them promptly
• Operate forklifts and add materials to machines to maintain production
• Perform shut-down and start-up of machines/equipment as needed
• Communicate production issues to management
• Make processing corrections as needed on both blow molding and injection molding machines to ensure quality product is being produced
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications

• Priormanufacturing experience

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and multitask effectively
• Prior blow molding and/or injection molding experience preferred, but willing to train

Compensation

Starting wage of $26/hour + differential pay for applicable hours (see details below). Shift differential may vary based upon actual hours worked.

Schedule

Training will be Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. Regular shift is planned to be Weekend Nights.

Production Shifts:

Weekday Dayshift (no differential)

• Monday-Wednesday 7am-7pm
• Thursday 7am-1pm

Weekday Nightshift--$1.25/hour shift differential

• Monday-Wednesday 7pm-7am
• Thursday 7pm-1am

Weekend Dayshift--$1.50/hour shift differential

• Thursday 1pm-7pm
• Friday-Sunday 7am-7pm

Weekend Nightshift--$2.50/hour shift differential

• Friday 1am-7am
• Friday-Sunday 7pm-7am
