We have a unique opportunity to join our team in Sioux Falls, SD in a hands‑on hybrid role. The Tooling and Blow Molding Technician will work with both our Tooling department, assisting with industrial mold installation and maintenance, as well as the plastics processing team as part of our Blow Molding team to help with tooling changes and some processing duties.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with supervisors to determine daily priorities
• Receive direction from Tooling Manager including tooling requirements, maintenance schedules, and procedures for both special tooling and basic production
• Perform mold changes and tooling conversions
• Inspect, clean, and maintain molds and tooling before each production run
• Maintain orderly work area and production floor
• Recognize operating irregularities and machine malfunctions and notify designated person or supervisor
• Work closely with the Blow Molding Technician and Production Manager to determine processing priorities
• Assist with machine start‑ups and shut downs
• Make adjustments to machine set‑up to ensure a quality product is being produced
• Assist Blow Molding Technician with tooling changes in Blow Molding lines
• Color cart set‑up
• Ensures all duties and tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Follow company policies, including food safety regulations
• Other tasks as assigned

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Working knowledge of power tools
• Well trained in usage of hand tools
• Exceptional Organization Skills
• Plastic or injection molding experience preferred, but not required
• Mold setup and installation experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work as part of a team or alone unsupervised

COMPENSATION AND HOURS

• This position will typically work 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
• Pay will start $23.00-$25.00/hour depending on previous related experience
