Job summary

BTD Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a shift supervisor to uphold safety, oversee production, and ensure efficient operation across our metalworking facilities. You will monitor conduct, coach staff, and coordinate with leads to keep the shift on schedule.

This role requires a high school diploma with technical training, strong teamwork, and basic computer skills (SharePoint and Outlook). The position offers an hourly base with growth potential and strict adherence to ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school (or equivalent) plus one year of technical training or equivalent experience.
• Experience or ability to learn mechanics and work with coworkers; develop working relations.
• Basic computer skills: SharePoint and Microsoft Outlook; payroll approval; enter near misses in Industry Safe.

Responsibilities

• Promote a respectful and safe work environment and maintain safety standards.
• Respond to questions and advise employees on resolving related problems.
• Communicate with Leaders and shift leads to plan schedules and ensure work progresses on time.
• Assist in training and development of employees to understand BTD’s values, mission, and vision.
• Assist the Leader in employee evaluation, retention, and 1-to-1s where applicable.
• Monitor work habits and make suggestions or corrections as needed.
• Promote and enforce ISO-compliant policies and maintain housekeeping and safety awareness.
• Communicate employee concerns to the appropriate Leader.
• Perform rounds to ensure performance expectations are met during the shift.
• Understand BTD’s KPIs and conduct huddles.
