Job summary

Peet’s Coffee is hiring a Shift Lead to oversee daily cafe operations, lead shifts, ensure great customer experiences, and maintain a welcoming coffee bar. This is a fast-paced role focusing on craft, service quality, and teamwork.

The position requires leadership experience, cash handling skills, and a flexible schedule. Benefits include medical, dental and vision, vacation accrual, employee discount, 401k, EAP, and tips. Eligible applicants must be 18+ and legally able to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a leadership role and/or directing the work of others.
• 1 year experience with POS/cash handling responsibilities in related industry.
• Shift Leads must maintain a schedule availability of a minimum of three days a week or more.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the country where this job is located.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts with focus and clarity by managing task deployment and day-to-day operations.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences with engaging service and high product quality.
• Support a positive team environment through clear communication and accountability.
• Execute opening/closing routines, cash handling, inventory tasks and visual updates.
• Adapt to change and develop skills to keep shifts running smoothly.
