Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader in Hurricane, WV who will be hands-on, lead by example, and set the tone for each shift. You’ll step in to run operations, work alongside the crew, and ensure every guest leaves impressed with fast, friendly service.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant/retail/hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• A team‑first mindset with strong communication skills.
• Someone who leads by doing—not just directing.
• Ability to stay cool and make decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and step in to run operations when management isn’t on site
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room—no task is too small
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience every time
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports
