Job summary

Refuel Operating Company, LLC is seeking a Church’s Shift Lead to oversee on‑duty restaurant operations. The role ensures staff training, support, and motivation to deliver exceptional guest service, while managing food quality, safety, and cleanliness per company policy.

The position requires flexible evening/weekend shifts and travel up to 10%. On‑the‑job training is provided and advancement opportunities exist within Refuel’s growing network.

Qualifications

• Previous retail, food service, or customer service experience.
• Must be able to do basic math at the eighth-grade level.
• On-the-job training is provided for all new team members.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shift operations to ensure prompt, friendly, and courteous guest service.
• Ensure all menu items are prepared and served according to Church’s standards and procedures.
• Assign, monitor, and support team members to ensure efficient workflow and accountability.
• Coach and train team members by demonstrating proper service and food preparation procedures.
• Assist team members during peak periods to maintain service speed and quality.
• Enforce safety, security, sanitation, and cash-handling policies.
• Perform opening and closing duties in accordance with Shift Awareness Checklists.
• Monitor food handling, storage, rotation, and icing procedures.
• Ensure team members arrive on time and are prepared for their shifts.
• Maintain professional, ethical leadership behaviors at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
