Job summary

The Little Beet, part of Convive Brands in New York, NY, seeks a Shift Lead to ensure fast, friendly service in a team-focused setting. You will take orders, assist guests, and support operations across dining and retail areas.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 months restaurant experience, familiarity with Toast POS, and flexibility in scheduling. The role offers competitive hourly pay with benefits and growth opportunities across Convive Brands concepts.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 months of related restaurant experience or training.
• Experience with POS systems, especially Toast, a plus.
• Flexibility in schedule is highly preferred but not required.
• Ability to be cross-trained in all areas of the dining room and retail space preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and attentive service to all guests during their visit.
• Receive food and beverage orders, enter into POS, coordinate with kitchen.
• Anticipate guest needs and note preferences.
• Maintain knowledge of pastry, bread, kitchen, beverage, and retail items.
• Prepare drinks for the dining room, as needed.
• Handle guest situations with empathy and escalate to a manager.
• Complete opening, mid, and closing procedures; daily checklist and side work.
• Organize money and receipts per cash handling policy.
• Keep restaurant areas clean and organized.
