Job summary

Peet’s Coffee in Pleasant Hill, California is seeking a Shift Lead to manage daily operations, open/close routines, cash handling, and inventory tasks while delivering friendly, high-quality service in a fast-paced setting.

You will lead shifts with clarity, model engagement, maintain a clean coffee bar, and collaborate with teammates to ensure exceptional guest experiences and reliable store performance.

Qualifications

• 1 year of leadership or directing others.
• 1 year experience with POS/cash handling in related industry.
• Availability at least three days a week, including mornings/evenings/weekends.
• Eligible to work in the country of the job location.
• Must be 18+ and able to work with/minors policies.
• Ability to perform physical tasks during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts with focus and clarity by managing task deployment and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences by modeling genuine engagement, a commitment to craft, high product quality, and friendly service, while maintaining a clean and welcoming coffee bar.
• Support a positive team environment by communicating clearly, collaborating effectively, and setting an example through accountability, professionalism, and reliability.
• Ensure operational excellence by executing opening/closing routines, cash handling, inventory tasks, and visual updates during assigned shifts.
• Embrace learning and change by developing skills, adapting to priorities, and using sound judgment to keep shifts running smoothly.
