Job summary

RaceTrac is seeking an energetic Shift Manager to lead a winning team on every shift. You’ll shape guest experiences, coach teammates, and ensure high standards across food service, inventory, and cash handling.

Your hands-on leadership will drive performance in a fast-paced retail environment. You will develop future leaders, maintain strong communication, and uphold our commitment to guest satisfaction, safety, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of work experience (retail, restaurant, or food service preferred).
• 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience (preferred)
• Comfort in fast-paced, high-volume environments
• Ability to follow through on tasks and coach others to do the same
• Strong communication and team building skills

Responsibilities

• Set the tone with a cheerful, can-do attitude that motivates your team.
• Provide clear direction and assist with food service, stocking, cleaning, or cash handling
• Coach team members in real-time, offering guidance and support during every shift
• Address guest concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating when necessary
• Train and guide your team to meet guest service, food safety, and cleanliness standards
• Oversee inventory, vendor check-in, and promotional communication
• Lead shift change communication and ensure team alignment throughout the day
• Relay important updates from leadership to shift associates and monitor task completion
