Job summary

Murphy Oil USA, Inc is hiring for a part-time Shift Lead in Hampton, VA. You will provide courteous customer service, assist with purchases and fuel transactions, operate the cash register, and support store operations to meet performance goals.

Requirements include 18+ (21+ in some states), a GED or 6 months related experience, 3 months cashier experience, and a valid driver’s license. Daily pay and healthcare benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age, 19 in Indiana, 20 in Kentucky and 21 in several states.
• High school diploma / GED, or at least 6 months of related job experience.
• Requires minimum 3 months of Cashier experience.
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Providing prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience.
• Responding to and resolving customer's requests and concerns.
• Assisting customers with purchases and fuel transactions.
• Operating cash register.
• Ensure fuel and merchandise is available for customers.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Supporting the Store Manager in all store operations.
• Helping lead the team to exceed the store's performance goals and objectives.
• Performing job related duties as assigned.
• In the absence of management provide backup duties including daily/monthly paperwork, inventory ordering, training new employees.
