Job summary

Zeeland Farm Services, Inc. in Cambridge, NE is seeking a Lead Process Operator to monitor and drive plant production and quality goals on a 12-hour rotating shift. You will ensure procedures are followed, maintain logs, and supervise on-shift staff.

The role requires knowledge of ethanol production processes, leadership ability, and a focus on safety and efficiency. Experience in manufacturing supervision is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or BA/BS in chemical, industrial or mechanical engineering or business administration, or a 4-year degree in related discipline preferred.
• Experience: 1-2 years in ethanol operation or related field preferred.
• Post-secondary education or technical trade certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant operations to carry out the established operations plan and identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintain complete production logs and communicate essential items to management.
• Lead shift operators to ensure tasks are completed safely, timely, and cost-effectively.
• Participate in projects that improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
• Direct and enforce the safety program for shift operations.
• Coordinate with QC laboratory and uphold QC policies and procedures.
• Provide a customer-service attitude when interacting with internal and external customers.
• Abide by SOPs and safety, quality, environmental and HR policies.
