Job summary

Nebraska Corn Processing, LLC is seeking a Lead Process Operator NCP to supervise ethanol production operations in Cambridge, NE. The role requires ensuring production and quality goals, following procedures, and maintaining safety and logs on a 12-hour rotating shift.

Direct supervision of on-shift operators, coordination with QC, and adherence to SOPs are key. Strong leadership, problem solving and data-driven decision making are essential to optimize plant performance and safety.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or BA/BS in chemical, industrial or mechanical engineering or business administration, or related discipline.
• 1–2 years of ethanol operation experience preferred.
• Post-secondary education or technical trade certificate preferred.
• Prior experience supervising others in a manufacturing operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control plant operations to follow the established operations plan and improve efficiency.
• Maintain production logs and communicate essential items to management.
• Lead shift operators to ensure tasks are completed safely, timely, and cost-effectively.
• Participate in projects that improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
• Direct and maintain the safety program for shift operations.
• Collaborate with QC laboratory and participate in QA/QC programs.
• Provide a customer service attitude when interacting with internal and external customers.
• Follow safety, health, environmental and HR policies and SOPs.
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation/environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
