Job summary

Working from 30 South in downtown Indianapolis, this role supports the store manager in executing daily operations during scheduled shifts for Kite Realty Group and Starbucks. You will deploy partners, delegate tasks and ensure a great Starbucks experience for customers while modeling company values.

Key responsibilities include maintaining customer service standards, guiding new partners, and promoting a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree may substitute some experience
• At least 1 year experience in customer service in retail or restaurant
• At least 6 months experience delegating to 2+ team members
• Able to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality

Responsibilities

• Promote Kite Realty Group and Starbucks values and mission
• Remain calm during high volume periods to keep store operations up to standard
• Anticipate customer and store needs and respond to cues
• Communicate information to manager to respond to events
• Assist with new partner training and provide coaching as needed
• Foster a positive team environment and communicate morale changes to the manager
• Provide clear, timely coaching to partners to ensure operational excellence
• Deliver world-class customer service and connect with customers
• Build positive relationships with partners and acknowledge individual needs
• Execute store operations during shifts and manage opening/closing duties
• Follow cash handling and safety policies to ensure partner safety
• Ensure cash register accuracy and proper cash management
• Supervise baristas to maintain quality service
• Adhere to health, safety and sanitation guidelines
• Recognize and reinforce team accomplishments using organizational tools
• Utilize operational tools to achieve shift excellence
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
