Stonington Institute in Groton, CT, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a full-time Shift Lead to supervise residential staff, train new hires, and coordinate care with clinicians and case managers. This role requires experience in mental health/substance abuse and a CT Recovery Coach certification.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma required; Associates degree preferred.
• CT Recovery Coach certification required.
• Must have previous experience in the field of mental health/substance abuse.

Responsibilities

• Orients, trains and coaches new hires in collaboration with the Program Director and Program Manager.
• Supervises residential staff on shift.
• Responds to resident issues in housing as needed in consultation with the Program Director/Program Manager.
• Works closely with clinicians and case managers in communicating resident behavior at Trails Corner.
• Intervenes effectively with residents at risk of leaving the program against clinical advice; de-escalates upset residents.
• Ensures compliance with program rules, facility policy and regulatory requirements.
• Completes daily bed count and updates bedboard.

Education

Highschool Diploma

CT Recovery Coach certification

Associates degree preferred
