Job summary

Destination Pet LLC is seeking a Lead Animal Care Attendant for our Pet Palace Pittsburgh to guide daily care and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for dogs and other pets. You’ll coach teammates, manage meds, supervise feeding and grooming tasks, and help uphold high standards of compassionate care on shift.

Requirements include a high school diploma, prior animal-care experience, and CPR training is a big plus; med administration experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have prior work experience in animal care.
• Med administration experience preferred.
• CPR training is a big plus.
• High school diploma required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pack during shifts, coaching and setting the tone for pet care excellence.
• Work with Animal Care Attendants to ensure safety, cleanliness, and a high standard of care.
• Train new hires on proper pet handling, procedures, and safety.
• Monitor pet guests for health, safety, and general wellbeing; report issues to management.
• Provide food, water, and daily TLC to every furry guest.
