Job description

Join to apply for the Shift Lead - 3rd Shift role at Ellison | The Baked Ingredients Expert.

Purpose
Shift Leads are responsible for overseeing all line production employees and personnel on assigned production lines in accordance with company policy, quality standards, GMPs, and food safety measures.

Hours

  • 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM
  • Training required on 1st shift (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM), where no shift differential will be provided
  • Some weekends may be required

Pay

  • $17.00 per hour during training
  • After training, $17.00 per hour plus possible shift differential

Job Responsibilities

  1. Attend and be on time for all pre-shift production meetings.
  2. Participate in and adhere to all food safety and safety programs.
  3. Complete required Alchemy courses throughout the year.
  4. Oversee the performance of line production employees to ensure effective and efficient quality inspections, stacking, and packaging to company standards.
  5. Assist production floor employees in meeting production goals, resolve issues, and work alongside line personnel as needed.
  6. Collaborate with operators to direct personnel placement, control break times, and report personnel issues.
  7. Ensure correct packaging and accurate packaging information.
  8. Assist with equipment changeovers when switching products.
  9. Maintain a clean and safe work area, monitor equipment, and communicate effectively with staff and supervisors.
  10. Report any food safety and quality issues immediately to management.

Follow All

  • Company policies, GMPs, food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Box cutter, RF scanner, electric pallet jack, heavy machinery.

Skills/Work Experience Needed

  • Ability to understand and follow directions, pass all food safety courses in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Variable temperatures, slippery floors, need for good senses of sight and hearing, physical demands.
