Maco PKG in Newark, NY is hiring an A-Shift Production Supervisor for Contract Packaging. You will lead a team on the production floor, coordinate with maintenance, scheduling, quality, and operations, and keep safety, quality, and output on track.

This hands-on leadership role emphasizes accountability, problem-solving, and communication. You’ll manage shift staffing, downtime, and adherence to GMP standards while delivering on-time production and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience in manufacturing or production.
• Strong communication with cross-functional teams (maintenance, quality, management).
• Ability to stay calm and solve problems quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid attendance history and reliability.
• Basic computer skills for tracking production data and reporting.
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift, monitor staffing, productivity, and downtime to keep on schedule.
• Coordinate production and maintenance priorities to minimize downtime and ensure repairs align with output.
• Coach and manage employees, address attendance and performance directly, set clear expectations.
• Enforce safety policies, GMP standards, and quality expectations on the floor.
