Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes in South Charleston, WV is looking for a motivated Shift Lead to help run daily bakery operations and ensure every guest leaves with a joyful experience.

You will support the Bakery Manager, lead team members on busy shifts, maintain our quality standards, and uphold Nothing Bundt Cakes’ HEART values in every interaction with guests and teammates. Mentorship and dependable leadership are key expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support bakery team members during shifts, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and create memorable experiences.
• Support daily bakery operations including baking, frosting, decorating, guest service, and order fulfillment.
• Ensure products meet Nothing Bundt Cakes quality, presentation, and freshness standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe bakery by following sanitation procedures and brand standards.
• Assist opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, cleaning, and securing the bakery.
• Help manage daily production, prioritize tasks, and ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
• Communicate operational needs, guest concerns, and team performance updates to the Bakery Manager.
• Coach and encourage team members, reinforcing expectations and promoting teamwork.
• Help monitor inventory, product rotation, labeling, dating, and waste to support operational efficiency.
• Lead by example and hold yourself and your team accountable for following bakery procedures.
• Demonstrate our HEART values in every interaction with guests and fellow team members.
