Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes in Leland, NC is seeking a Shift Lead to help run daily bakery operations and support the Bakery Manager. You will lead the team on assigned shifts, coach Joy Creators, ensure guest experiences are exceptional, and help with opening and closing tasks.

The ideal candidate communicates clearly, stays organized under pressure, and fosters a positive, team-first environment. Prior leadership, food service, retail, or hospitality experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help manage daily bakery operations, including cleanliness, organization, and product availability.
• Ensure team members follow company policies, procedures, food safety, and brand standards.
• Support guest recovery and resolve guest concerns professionally.
• Help monitor staffing and labor throughout the shift.
• Communicate important information and operational needs to the Bakery Manager.
• Lead by example with a positive attitude and team-focused behavior.

At Nothing Bundt Cakes, the Shift Lead plays an important role in creating a positive, productive, and joyful bakery environment. This position helps lead the team during daily operations, supports the Bakery Manager, and ensures every guest receives an exceptional experience.

We are looking for someone who is a strong communicator, leads by example, takes ownership, and knows how to motivate a team while keeping operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do
