Job summary

Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop is hiring a Shift Lead to be based in one of our shops. You will be the face of the brand, ensuring hot food is served hot, cold food cold, and overall quality and service with a smile.

You will delegate duties, support a team, maintain cleanliness, and help manage labor during each shift. The role requires flexibility, excellent guest service, and strong communication to keep everyone informed.

Qualifications

• Excellent guest service skills required.
• Able to take direction and delegate responsibilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented, adaptable, dependable, and strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication to keep team informed.
• Flexible schedule; nights and weekends may be required.
• At least 16 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Delegate duties and fairly assign specific tasks to ensure Team Members are prepared for guests.
• Contribute to a team environment by recognizing and reinforcing individual and team accomplishments.
• Follow inventory control procedures and guidelines.
• Follow Capriotti’s procedures and policies, cash handling, sanitation, and safety/security to ensure safety of team members and guests.
• Assist with labor management costs.
• Act with integrity and promote Capriotti’s values and culture.
• Demonstrate proficiency in shop operations to assist during shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shop and setup/breakdown of areas.
• Work as a team to prepare for each shift.
• Manage time effectively while meeting all job responsibilities.
• Maintain a positive work environment for team members and guests.

Shift Lead Responsibilities

• Delegate duties and fairly assign specific tasks to ensure Team Members are prepared for our guests.
• Contributes to a team environment by recognizing and reinforcing individual and team accomplishments.
• Follow inventory control procedures and guidelines.
• Follows all Capriotti’s procedures and operational policies, cash handling, sanitation, and safety/security, to ensure the safety of all Team Members and guests during each shift.
• Assist with labor management costs.
• Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote Capriotti’s values and culture.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in all areas of shop operations to assist where needed during assigned shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shop and ensure proper setup and breakdown of all areas, including the dining room, patio, restrooms, cold stations, grill, and prep areas.
• Work as a team to prepare for each shift.
• Ability to manage time effectively while meeting all job responsibilities.
• Maintains a positive work environment for Team Members and guests during each shift.

Shift Lead Qualifications
