Job summary

Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop is seeking a Shift Lead for our Kennet Square location to ensure exceptional food quality and guest service. You will lead the team, delegate tasks, and maintain a clean environment while fostering a positive work culture.

The ideal candidate will have excellent guest service skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate adaptability. We offer a flexible schedule and a supportive work atmosphere as part of our commitment to growth and quality.

Shift Lead Job Summary

Sharing Our Passion One Sandwich at a Time: Accomplishing Capriotti’s mission begins and ends with you. You are the face of the company and will provide Uncompromising Standards of Quality and Service by ensuring hot food is always served hot, cold food cold, all food fresh, in a clean environment, and in full uniform with a smile.

Shift Lead Responsibilities

• Delegate duties and fairly assign specific tasks to ensure Team Members are prepared for our guests.
• Contributes to a team environment by recognizing and reinforcing individual and team accomplishments.
• Follow inventory control procedures and guidelines.
• Follows all Capriotti’s procedures and operational policies, cash handling, sanitation, and safety/security, to ensure the safety of all Team Members and guests during each shift.
• Assist with labor management costs.
• Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote Capriotti’s values and culture.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in all areas of shop operations to assist where needed during assigned shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shop and ensure proper setup and breakdown of all areas, including the dining room, restrooms, cold stations, grill, and prep areas.
• Work as a team to prepare for each shift.
• Ability to manage time effectively while meeting all job responsibilities.
• Maintains a positive work environment for Team Members and guests during each shift.

Shift Lead Qualifications
