Base Pay Range

$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start‑ups, required cash handling, ensuring the floor and stockroom are ready for the business day, and opening the back door for deliveries.
  • Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
  • Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience; engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, and resolving customer issues.
  • Share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful experience, including interpersonal habits, Walgreens service traits, and proactive assistance.
  • Hold store keys and manage the opening and closing processes without management as necessary.
  • Coach team members on the warehouse and vendor ordering process, including opening back doors for vendor deliveries.
  • Register all related sales on assigned cash registers, record scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
  • Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions on order release day, reverse logistics (e.g., returns, empty package), evaluating and developing displays, completing resets and revisions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and on‑hand quantities across departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
  • Ensure the Outdate program is followed with team members.
  • Set basic department pricing, make daily price changes, ensure proper signage, and complete any additional pricing tasks related to local regulations or compliance programs within required timeframes.
  • Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment as necessary.
  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring a clean, neat, orderly store condition; request repairs as needed.
  • Separate food items (e.g., raw from pre‑cooked), assist with stock rotation using the first‑in, first‑out method, and restock outs.
  • Possess working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
  • Assist at the pharmacy out window as requested.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco).
  • Conduct bag checks of team members before store closure.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
  • Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager.
  • Serve as a liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating assigned tasks when store management is absent.
  • Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
Basic Qualifications
  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
  • Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English (with exceptions in Puerto Rico).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of store inventory control.
  • Consideration of applicants with arrest and conviction records.
  • Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
