Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise is seeking a High Volume Manufacturing Shift Equipment Engineer to monitor, sustain, and improve manufacturing tools in a fast-paced fab environment, partnering with process teams.

You will lead preventative maintenance, assist with equipment installations, document procedures, and drive uptime and defect prevention while rotating shifts as needed to accommodate school schedules or manufacturing demands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering required.
• Able to work any shift and rotate shifts as needed.
• Knowledge of AC/DC circuits and basic electronics.
• Intermediate to advanced software skills (Python, Java, Tableau, Matlab, MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Identify and appropriately handle chemicals and hazards in the work area.
• Recognize and react to safety alarms (EES, fire alarm, MDA, ERT, etc).
• Improve area/shift KPIs by driving LTD reductions, MA improvements, and excursion prevention.
• Drive a TPM culture including TPM metrics, WS health reports, Continuous Improvement Projects and MTAGs.
• Partner with Equipment Owners and Shift Engineers/Technicians to resolve issues affecting yield/throughput.
• Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Analyze data with SPC to improve process controls and reduce defects.
• Apply DOE and 8D problem solving to identify equipment issues.
• Update procedures to align with global practices for training and daily execution.
• Ensure assessor checklists and related documents are kept up to date.
