Job summary

The Ellison Hotel in Oklahoma City is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician / Shift Engineer to uphold the comfort, safety, and appearance of our property. You will handle preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and timely work-orders, supporting daily hotel operations.

Responsibilities include servicing guest rooms, meeting spaces, public areas, maintaining exterior spaces, assisting with events, and coordinating with the Chief Engineer and management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience (hotel or commercial preferred).
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance in guestrooms, meeting rooms, and public areas.
• Complete minor HVAC preventative maintenance and adjustments.
• Respond to and resolve maintenance work orders promptly with guest service in mind.
• Set up, maintain, and break down meeting and event spaces.
• Maintain exterior areas including pool, parking lot, landscaping, and overall curb appeal.
• Safely use and secure tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Keep maintenance areas, carts, and storage rooms clean and organized.
• Report major repair needs to the Maintenance Manager per hotel procedures.
• Follow all hotel safety standards, policies, and procedures.
• Work closely with the Chief Engineer and management team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
