Texas Hotel Management is seeking a dependable Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our engineering team in Houston. You will handle preventive maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, and restaurant facilities to ensure safety and peak functionality.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience in hotel maintenance or building engineering and working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.

Qualifications

Responsabilités

• Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance across the property, including guest rooms, public areas, and equipment rooms.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests from staff and guests, ensuring prompt issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical problems.
• Assist with general carpentry, painting, and property upkeep as needed.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe order and report major repairs to Chief Engineer or Director of Engineering.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and hotel maintenance policies.

You will handle preventive maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep ofguest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, and restaurant facilities.

This role is perfect for someone skilled inelectrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance— with a passion for delivering an excellent guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance across the property, including guest rooms, public areas, and equipment rooms.
• Respond quickly and efficiently to maintenance requests from staff and guests, ensuring prompt issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical problems.
• Assist with general carpentry, painting, and property upkeep as needed.
• Maintain all tools and equipment in safe working order and report any major repairs to the Chief Engineer or Director of Engineering.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and follow hotel maintenance policies and procedures.
• Keep maintenance areas clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Participate in the hotel’s preventive maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime.
• Respond to emergencies such as fire alarms, leaks, or power outages and coordinate with the front desk and management.
• Foster a positive, cooperative, and professional work environment with other team members.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalentrequired; technical school or trade certification preferred.
• 1–3 years of experiencein hotel maintenance, facilities maintenance, or building engineering preferred.
• Working knowledge ofHVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
• Trade license or certification (HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing) is a plus.
• Ability to use basic maintenance tools, meters, and safety equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift or move up to100 lbs occasionally,50 lbs frequently, and25 lbs regularly.
• Must be able tostand, walk, bend, and reachfor extended periods.
• Comfortable working in varying environments (indoor/outdoor, hot/cold conditions).
