Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program of professional nursing.
• BSN required, or must complete a BSN program within 4 years of hire with steady progress toward degree completion.
• Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience with administrative and supervisory responsibilities or equivalent in education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth operation of the hospital during the shift and facilitate problem resolution.
• Assume responsibility for overall operations of all units in the absence of the Unit Manager/Director on evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Provide clinical expertise and oversee management activities during the shift in consultation with unit leadership as appropriate.
• Communicate with external contacts to gather factual data when necessary.
