Overview

Shift: 3rd Shift - Inserting Department
Location: Wallace Ave, St. Charles, IL

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and guidance to employees and audit work processes and products to confirm production specifications are met.
• Maintain positive and effective relationships with employees. Direct employees to the appropriate manager regarding policy questions.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, policies and procedures. Report any problems, potential problems, hazardous situations to management.
• Inspect products and/or shipments to verify conformance to specifications.
• Review and approve machine set ups, production samples, and/or shipments as necessary.
• Identify and report opportunities for continual improvement.
• Attend production meetings and/or confer with other departments to coordinate production activities when necessary.
• Coordinate or perform training for new employees, contract workers, and/or guests to ensure safety, quality, and production requirements are understood.
• Ensure the “Quality Policy and Objectives” are understood and achieved.
• May provide oversight of work conducted by junior-level staff and/or review/audit work for accuracy.
• May update and maintain shift schedules in the time and attendance system, as well as enter attendance transactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 2 or more years of experience in a manufacturing/operations environment
• Able to consistently apply applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and program objectives when carrying out the duties of the job
• Proficient knowledge of technology including computers and software programs such as MS Office, MAC word processing, spreadsheets, or other programs specific to the job
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively across departments
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, and rarely above 50 pounds
• Ability to perform basic math (rates, ratios, percentages)
• Ability to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co-workers to resolve issues

Additional Information

Pay range for this role at the noted location is $26.26 to $34 per hour. Actual rate of pay may vary based upon education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location.
