Job summary

State of Maryland’s MDH Eastern Shore Hospital Center in Cambridge, MD is seeking a Shift Charge RN for 7 a.m.–3 p.m., 3 p.m.–11 p.m., or 11 p.m.–7 a.m. The role oversees a hospital unit delivering mental health services and supervises staff on the assigned shift.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, ensuring quality outcomes and compliance with nursing standards. RN licensure is required by the Maryland State Board; on-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required by the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
• No prior experience required.
• Must be able to work shifts and be on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a hospital unit during the assigned shift, supervising staff and ensuring quality patient care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care activities for the shift.
• Provide supervision within a management group to promote quality patient care.
