Job summary

Vention, headquartered in Montréal, Detroit and Munich, is seeking a shift supervisor to lead the day assembly team. You’ll drive on-time delivery, maintain quality, and keep the floor safe while coaching staff and developing future team leads.

Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, Logistics and Quality to remove bottlenecks, apply lean improvements, and measure performance. The role offers a hybrid work model, strong development opportunities, and a diverse, inclusive culture at a high-growth

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in assembly, manufacturing, or production operations.
• Experience leading a team, including coaching and performance conversations.
• Solid grasp of assembly workflows — sub-assembly, final assembly, kitting, work instructions, and BOMs.
• Clear, direct communication and the confidence to resolve conflict fairly.
• Nice to have lean or continuous improvement experience, and comfort with ERP/MES systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day shift assembly team to hit build and on-time delivery goals while keeping quality high and the floor a safe place to work.
• Coach and grow your team — from onboarding new assemblers to developing team leads who are ready for their next step.
• Partner with Engineering, Planning, Logistics, and Quality to solve problems that slow the line down, from missing parts to workstation bottlenecks.
• Champion continuous improvement, using lean thinking (5S, standard work, waste reduction) to make assembly simpler, safer, and more efficient.
• Track how the shift is performing (on-time delivery, productivity, first-pass yield, rework) and use what you see to drive real improvements.
