Job summary

Atlas Copco’s Hamburg New Jersey site seeks a proactive SHEQ Coordinator to implement and sustain safety, health, environmental, and quality programs. You will conduct inspections, training, audits, investigations, and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and a safe workplace.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, onboarding of new hires, and ongoing safety improvements across the facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in safety
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001/14001/45001 standards
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software/tools

Responsibilities

• Implement SHEQ policies and regulatory compliance
• Perform safety inspections, risk assessments and audits
• Develop and deliver safety training for all levels
• Lead investigations into accidents and near-misses
• Maintain incident, training, waste management, and permits records
• Monitor KPIs to evaluate SHEQ program effectiveness
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed safety
• Serve as secondary contact for regulators and auditors
• Promote employee engagement in safety initiatives
• Organize safety meetings and share information on site
• Oversee chemical inventory and SDS management
• Coordinate with site management and HR on safety initiatives and onboarding
