Job summary

CAMBA in Brooklyn, NY seeks a full-time Recreational Coordinator to supervise recreational staff and client advocates, ensuring program goals and safety standards. You will organize therapeutic activities, manage calendars, document progress, and coordinate with staff and funders to support clients’ wellness and recovery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with two years of related experience; a Master’s in Art Therapy is preferred, with potential certification in First Aid/CPR and overdose

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with two years of applicable experience or equivalent.
• Master’s degree in Art Therapy preferred (licensure required for some degrees).
• May be required to become First Aid/CPR certified.
• May be required to become certified in overdose prevention.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality.
• Organize and lead therapeutic/recreational activities to enhance social development.
• Plan and organize social/peer support/ADL events to promote wellness and recovery.
• Facilitate physical education, arts, music, or drama activities.
• Lead and participate in staff meetings and prepare weekly/monthly reports to CAMBA management.

Education

Bachelor’s degree (e.g., B.A./B.S.W.)

Licensed Master’s degree in Art Therapy preferred
