Job summary

Unity House in Troy, NY seeks a full-time, hourly Victim Services Specialist to assist victims of sexual violence and their children. You will provide trauma-informed support, conduct assessments, and connect clients with essential resources while engaging in community outreach.

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred; 1–3 years’ experience with victims or similar populations is expected. A valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; 1-3 years working with victims of violence or similar populations.
• Valid NYS driver license and reliable transportation; High school or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assist victims and children with needs based on assessments.
• Provide intensive case management and supports.
• Provide emotional support and crisis intervention.
• Provide linkages and referrals to supportive services.
• Complete contract and regulatory compliance activities.
• Promote a work culture of inclusion and belonging.
