Job summary

ASPCA’s Cruelty Recovery Center in Columbus, OH seeks a dedicated Veterinarian to deliver high‑quality medical care to animals rescued in national cruelty cases and disasters. You will work with SDVS and CRC vets to treat on‑site and in temporary shelters, with opportunities to support forensic exams and field work.

The role requires a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, Ohio licensure (or eligibility), and USDA accreditation.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from an accredited college.
• Licensed to practice in the state of Ohio or eligible; must obtain within 30 days
• Willingness to obtain licensure in multiple states to support field work

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, high‑quality veterinary care to dogs, cats and other species per ASPCA medical protocols.
• Monitor shelter population health and mitigate disease outbreaks.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure integrated care and timely disposition decisions.
• Maintain accurate medical records and prepare reports for stakeholders.
• Support forensic examinations and evidence collection as needed
