Ideal candidates have a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, Ohio licensure, Fear Free certification, USDA accreditation, and experience with dogs and cats.

Qualifikationen

• Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.
• Licensed to practice in Ohio within 30 days of hire.
• Clinical experience with dogs and cats required.
• Fear Free certification or completion within 60 days.
• USDA Category 2 accreditation or obtainable within 3 months.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; standing for 8+ hours.

Aufgaben

• Provide timely, high-quality veterinary care to dogs, cats and other species at CRC and temporary shelters.
• Monitor shelter population health; identify disease outbreaks and implement controls.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care and timely decisions.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and prepare reports for stakeholders.
• Assist in field, disaster response, and forensic examination activities as needed.
• Provide education and mentorship to staff and externs; support protocol development.
