You will address immediate needs, provide crisis intervention, and help residents access transportation, resources, and support services. The role involves intake processing, coordinating with staff and volunteers, and ensuring safe, orderly shelter operations.
We are looking for a compassionate and team-oriented Shelter Services Specialist to join our Residential Services team providing onsite coverage at the agency emergency shelter serving survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. The Shelter Services Specialist provides supportive services to shelter residents addressing residents' immediate and basic needs and provides crisis intervention via telephone for crisis line callers and face to face for shelter residents.
Reports to: Director of Residential Services
Supervises: Assigned volunteers and interns
