Job summary

Mercy House in Oxnard, CA is seeking a Data and Reservation Specialist who will coordinate homeless services enrollment and referrals, and manage HMIS data entry and reporting.

You will track bed availability, screen referrals, maintain intake packets, and support staff with data quality and file management; Spanish fluency is valued.

The role is day shift, full‑time, non-exempt, with duties including meetings and ad hoc projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have strong computer, typing and data processing skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and internet browsers is required.
• Fluency in Spanish is of significant value for daily interactions.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Reservations: track bed availability and vet referrals; arrange transportation for entrants.
• Program Data Entry: ensure HMIS intake forms are completed and data entered daily.
• Reporting: generate basic reports and maintain data quality.
• Miscellaneous: attend meetings, file documents, and support team as needed.
