Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, welcoming, supportive environment for shelter guests and staff.
• Monitor entry points and surrounding area to restrict access to residents or authorized personnel.
• Develop supportive relationships with guests using motivational interviewing.
• Respond to crises and medical emergencies.
• Provide behavioral management for diverse populations including those with mental health issues.
• Write incident or ban reports when incidents occur.
• Coordinate with volunteers and partners to provide meals for guests.
• Maintain health and safety of the facility.
