Job summary

The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) is seeking a Shelter Operations Manager in Tukwila, WA. This full-time role manages site activities, ensures a safe environment for program participants, and provides emergency coverage as needed.

Reports to the Program Manager and works with Shelter Monitors, Case Managers, and LIHI leadership. Responsibilities include staffing, training, performance reviews, safety enforcement, and daily roster updates.

Qualifications

• Experience working in property management or human services.
• One year experience as a supervisor.
• Ability to work with confidential, sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Google Docs/Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Hire, supervise, and train staff and interface with vendors and community members.
• Complete staff evaluations and set goals with performance expectations.
• Address performance concerns and escalate as needed.
• Troubleshoot client issues and coordinate with management on best actions.
• On-site monitoring of the Enhanced Shelter and surrounding areas and coordinating activities.
