Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) is seeking a Sr. Shelter Operations Manager in Tacoma, WA to oversee shelter operations, staff supervision, and program coordination across multiple locations.

The role includes safety oversight, incident reporting, and community outreach. The position requires experience with homeless populations, strong organizational skills, and the ability to supervise at least two other shelters.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience working or volunteering with homeless or low-income populations.
• Two years supervisor experience leading a program or project with staff and volunteers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, independent environment and be self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Provide staff supervision, training, and coordination across multiple shelter locations.
• Ensure safety and well-being of program clients and enforce code of conduct.
• Assist in intake paperwork and outreach to community organizations.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and respond to participant concerns.
• Respond to emergencies on site and provide on-call coverage.
• Document incidents and maintenance issues promptly in the reporting system.
• Engage in required training and PPE usage.
