Job summary

Denver Rescue Mission is seeking a Community Life Supervisor to oversee day-to-day shelter operations, safety, and guest services, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests, staff, and volunteers. This role combines facility oversight with front-line intake support, record management, and coordination with Kitchen, Maintenance, IT, and Operations to deliver essential services with dignity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Hospitality, or related field.
• Experience in social services, shelter operations, customer service, or related field preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Active Driver’s License; some travel may be required.
• Must be a Christian with a Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Oversee security and safety of facility, guests, staff, and visitors during shifts.
• Ensure facility is free from drugs, alcohol, weapons, or hazards.
• Greet guests and assist with check-in and intake.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle guest information securely.
• Coordinate with Kitchen, Maintenance, IT, and Operations to meet daily needs.
• Direct intake processes and maintain accurate records in SCRIBE and Clarity.
• Supervise Community Life Coordinators and scheduling.
