Job summary

Bread of Life Mission in Seattle, WA seeks a Guest Service Coordinator to greet shelter guests, manage front-door security, check in guests, and maintain a safe, supportive environment. You will engage with guests, ensure policy compliance, and assist with daily operations in a faith-centered shelter.

The role requires high integrity, crisis handling ability, and the willingness to provide spiritual support when requested.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Experience in human services or related field preferred.
• Ability to work with people in varied circumstances related to homelessness including recovery and mental illness and to treat individuals with dignity and respect in all situations.
• Demonstrated experience handling crisis and emergencies.
• CPR and First Aid training preferred.
• Bi-lingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and manage front-door security.
• Check in guests per policies and inform expectations.
• Engage with guests to offer support and encouragement.
• Respond to medical, facility, and other emergencies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment.
• Follow confidentiality policies and procedures.
• Assist with inventory and supplies; manage donations.
• Answer phones and schedule appointments for guests and staff.
• Complete daily data entry and accurate reporting.
• Provide spiritual guidance and prayer when requested.
• Complete intakes and exits for guests.
• Accept payments and log receipts.
• Some shifts may include food pickup duties with the van.
