Job summary

Compass Connections is hiring for a role at our facility in Texas. We seek compassionate individuals to supervise shifts, ensure regulatory compliance, and support treatment plans for children in a safe, structured environment.

Fluency in English and Spanish is required. The position offers full-time hours with benefits starting on the first day of employment, and a salary of $64,771.20 per year.

Qualifications

• Requires fluency in English and Spanish for effective communication with staff and clients.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred for advanced roles.
• First aid, CPR, and emergency behavior intervention certifications are required.

Salary:

$64,771.20 annually

Language Requirement:

Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Academic Req:

Required – Associate degree or bachelor’s or undergraduate degree from an accredited program/university preferably in one of the following areas: social work, psychology, criminal justice, sociology, or related field of study; Preferred – Graduate degree from accredited program/university in a related field

Certifications:

First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior intervention

Work experience:

Required – Minimum of one (1) year of related experience and/or training; Preferred – Two plus years of related experience and/or training

Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:

• Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by the position supervisor.
• Implement Compass Connections safety protocols including evacuating with children and other staff in case

Of an emergency.

• Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program operations.
• Maintain Compass Connections professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in Compass

Connections employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, children, and community members and complying with required dress code at all times.

Other Responsibilities:

• Supervise zone supervisors assigned to this position to ensure staffing levels meet each child’s physical,

Social, emotional, educational, and recreational needs and comply with contract and regulatory standards and requirements.

• Schedule appointments for children and follow-up to ensure each child’s essential needs are met.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with personnel and/or other professionals including law

Enforcement officials, judicial officials, legal resources, medical professionals, and other community resources.

• Regularly observe and evaluate buildings, grounds, equipment, staff, children, vehicles and other program

Resources and address issues and problems as needed.

• Frequently traverse from one area of the physical plant to another.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English and Spanish.
• Meet all pre-determined deadlines required by program supervisor and federal partners.

Requirements:

• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.
• Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
• Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.
• Demonstrate the ability to:
• Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic

• Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers and professionals.
• Provide crisis intervention according to training provided by Compass Connections when needed to
