Job summary

The Humane Society of Western Montana is seeking a Building and Grounds Maintenance team member. This full-time, hourly role keeps the shelter clean, safe, and welcoming, stocking supplies, coordinating repairs, and supporting the cremation program.

You will work with staff, volunteers, and PAWS team while upholding humane animal care values. Responsibilities include sanitizing spaces, restocking, operating cleaning tools and grounds equipment, and assisting with morning animal care routines as

Qualifications

• High School education or GED is required.
• Able to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy and ability to learn software.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather.
• Valid driver's license is required, and safety is essential.

Responsibilities

• Sanitizes and maintains designated building areas.
• Restocks areas and reports inventory to supervisor.
• Cleans laundry and dishes; maintains animal spaces.
• Notifies management of repairs and coordinates them.
• Maintains sidewalks, dog spaces, and landscaping equipment.
• Supports cremation program activities and records.
