Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry seeks a Food Services Associate to prepare and serve meals in a shelter setting, coordinating with volunteers and a VA dietitian to meet dietary needs. You will maintain hygiene, manage donations, and ensure smooth kitchen operations.

The role emphasizes respectful interactions with residents and staff, adherence to safety guidelines, and teamwork within a faith-based community service environment.

Formación

• Experience in hospitality settings, preferably shelters or similar environments.
• Strong communication with residents, staff, and volunteers.
• Familiarity with ServSafe standards and food safety practices.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and cook meals according to menus and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure timely delivery of meals to residents.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, organized, and safe kitchen area.
• Receive and organize food donations with the donation coordinator.
• Record donated items and communicate needs to staff.
• Provide guidance to volunteers and ensure protocol adherence.
• Interact professionally with residents, staff, volunteers, and donors.
• Collaborate with the VA dietitian on dietary plans for residents.
• Report issues to kitchen supervisor promptly.
